a vindication of love, cristina nehring.

i wasn’t expecting this book to have such a self-help flavor, though looking back, the fact that it’s titled a vindication of love: reclaiming romance for the twenty-first century should have been a solid indicator. eitherway, i wound up enjoying the snapshots into the love lifes of both real life and fictional literary couples such as abelard and heloise, beatrice and dante, mary wollstonecraft and william godwin, mary shelley and percy bysshe shelley, simone de beauvoir and jean paul sartre, among many others.

nehring touched on some interesting points and i would recommend this book to anyone interested in juicy biographical detail.
